We’re getting close! We have the nursery 99% ready – we just have to buy a changing table. We bought our first packs of diapers this week which was – strangely enough – kind of fun. It took me almost an entire day to move all the furniture and electronic gizmos that I have. It’s scary how much care I put into setting up all my equipment very orderly and neatly only to see the rat’s nest of wires that it’s turned into over the last 2 years.

Jackie decided she wanted to go with a light cream color for the upper 2/3 of the walls, textured wallpaper painted pink for the lower 1/3 of the walls, and a chair rail separating the two. While that sounds complicated, there was one great thing that came out of it. Daddy gets a new saw!!!

We went to Lowe’s and picked up all the stuff – including a new 10 inch miter saw for me – and we’re currently hard at work getting the room ready. Here are some photos of our progress as of this morning.

Update – 6/4/2008

We’re now done with the nursery. I’ve added the new pics below. I think it turned out pretty darn good if I do say so myself.
