Addison Evelyn to be precise. Jackie and I have finally decided on a name for our little girl. Jackie’s currently in her 25th week and doing great. And she FINALLY started getting a belly!

New Nursery for the Baby

I moved my office to our spare bedroom so that we could use it for the baby’s nursery. It took me almost an entire day to move all the furniture and electronic gizmos that I have. It’s scary how much care I put into setting up all my equipment very orderly and neatly only to see the rat’s nest of wires that it’s turned into over the last 2 years.

Jackie decided she wanted to go with a light cream color for the upper 2/3 of the walls, textured wallpaper painted pink for the lower 1/3 of the walls, and a chair rail separating the two. While that sounds complicated, there was one great thing that came out of it. Daddy gets a new saw!!!

We went to Lowe’s and picked up all the stuff – including a new 10 inch miter saw for me – and we’re currently hard at work getting the room ready. Here are some photos of our progress as of this morning.

Update – 6/4/2008

We’re now done with the nursery. I’ve added the new pics below. I think it turned out pretty darn good if I do say so myself.

It’s a Girl!

Jackie and I went for our appointment at Baby Views yesterday and found out that we’re having a girl. Jackie has been hoping and praying for a little girl so she’s on cloud nine right now. I’m glad we finally know so we can start picking out clothes, getting the nursery ready, and figuring out what we’re going to name her. Our regular doctor had Jackie at 16 1/2 weeks, but the doctor at baby views estimates she’s at 17 1/2 weeks. Either way, we’re still on for delivery sometime in mid-October. Pregnancy Update – 12 weeks

We went to the doctor this past monday for our 12 week visit. They did a second ultrasound, and the baby is now the size of a lime. It looks a bit like a little alien, but you can see its head, arms, body, and legs. We even got to see it move around a bit. Everything else was normal so we’ll head back in another 4 weeks for our next visit.

We’re Pregnant!

Jackie and I just found out that we’ll be having a baby! She’s about 4 weeks into her pregnancy, and everything is going smoothly so far. Our first doctor appointment is Feb 27 so we’ll be sure to keep everyone updated on how it’s going.
