Our family was blessed on October 8, 2008 at 12:23 PM when God saw fit to give us a beautiful baby girl named Addison. Addison weighs 7 lbs 9 oz and is 19.5 inches long. The doctors let me hold her with Jackie before they asked me to carry Addison to the nursery where they finished bathing her, checked all her vitals, performed tests, held her up to the glass for all our family to see. Jackie was taken to recover from the surgery soon after, and Addison and I were finally able to join her about 2 hours later.
After all the poking and sticking and prodding, we learned that there is absolutely nothing wrong with Addison and she is in perfect health. We stayed in the hospital until around noon on October 10 and were finally able to bring her home that afternoon.
Both Jackie and Addison are doing great, and I’ve changed more diapers in 3 days than I thought possible. Addison is the most georgous baby I’ve ever seen (no, really, she is), and Jackie is recovering nicely from her surgery. We’ve been taking it easy around the house and just spending time with each other and learning how to take care of our new blessing. Addison is truly remarkable with a glowing personality that’s already showing through.

Hey Shonnye, if you think you worried about your boys, wait until one of these little girls gets her first shots and runs fever or has a runny nose. Worry has a new name then!!
