Flippin Basement Work
We headed to my parents’ new house for the weekend. I wasn’t feeling well so I didn’t get to help Dad work on the basement as much as I wanted, but he’s made tremendous progress on finishing it out. We did manage to get the new bathtub in place and finish some of the framework that will have drywall attached to it. Once my parents move into this house next year, we’re hopeful that Gramma (Mom’s mom) will come to live with them and stay in the basement apartment. She’ll have the space all to herself, and Dad’s working real hard to make it really nice. She’ll have her own kitchen, family room, fireplace, bedroom, bathroom and closet. She’ll also have her very own deck out back with a fantastic view from the top of the mountain. I’m a bit jealous just thinking about it!
